About Us

Our Story
We are Chinese couple moved to Malta in 2023. Both of us were tired of our old jobs and lifestyles. So we decided to devote ourselves to traditional crafts on this lovely island. Pai started to learn leather craftsmanship systematically since 2019, he has the ability to design and make high-quality vegetable-tanned leather goods. And we learned Kintsugi Art together, which is a traditional Japanese ceramic restoration technique. Over the past two years, we have been gradually building our practice. Most of our products are sold online and at artisan markets. We have also visited tanneries in Tascany to source proper and eco-friendly materials. Alongside our leatherwork, we create bespoken pieces and offer Kintsugi service.
Our Values
We are devoted to the integrity of natural materials. Our products are crafted with vegetable-tanned leather, and even the linings are made of leather, not fabric. Vegetable-tanned leather stands among the most eco-friendly materials. Its creation brings no extra harm, using only the by-products of the meat industry, allowing us to craft with respect for both nature and tradition. Every element, including the padding, is carefully shaped from leather, and when additional support is needed, we use leatherboard rather than ordinary cardboard. Solid brass is chosen wherever possible, in harmony with the timeless character of leather. Every piece is hand-stitched, preserving the subtle, rustic beauty that only true craftsmanship can achieve.
Mission & Vision
We are deeply passionate about traditional craftsmanship. In our everyday objects, the mass-produced items that emerged after the Industrial Revolution may have solved the problem of accessibility, but they do not necessarily offer superior quality, durability, or aesthetic value. In an era of rapid technological advancement, humanity cannot recreate the grandeur of Renaissance-era masterpieces. We are inspired by the timeless beauty of historic cities—the hand-painted artworks, sculpted details, and architectural masterpieces that continue to move us centuries later.
While handmade items may never achieve absolute precision, their charm lies in the pursuit of near-perfection. Our goal is not expansion or mass production; it is to refine our craft, slowly gaining recognition, and to spark greater appreciation and interest in handcrafts. We are not merchants—we are artisans.
